I first met Joseph Patrick Moore in the Spring of 2000. He and I were doing a gig for the same band and while I would like to say we immediately bonded, I have to admit that our friendship was fueled over time by our mutual love of music. Now after knowing Joseph for fourteen years, I'm touched by how kind, humorous, serious, creative and interesting he is as a person. I think my experience with JPM is similar to that of most people who come in contact with him: we’re amazed at his story of how he became an Artist, how he formed Blue Canoe Records and how he formed his current band The RockTronix.
To me, Joseph Patrick Moore's story was always the perfect backdrop for a Documentary. Here was this southern gentleman living in East Tennessee, Memphis, and Atlanta, GA, performing, touring around the world and producing music for the casual listener to the connoisseur. I want the world to know about Joseph and my new musical friends Wayne Viar and Chris Blackwell, and now they will with the formation of The RockTronix.
The reaction I get when I talk about each member of The RockTronix and their musical abilities includes wide-eyed, gaping-mouthed amazement by people who have never heard of them by name. We’re going to change all that, and we’re going to do so with a visually stimulating homage to Wayne Viar, Joseph Patrick Moore, Chris Blackwell (collectively known as The RockTronix) and introduce you to the talents of Recording Engineer Rush Anderson. All in all this Documentary is a creative, touching, whimsical, inspiring, light-hearted yet serious romp through the South and documenting The RockTronix doing what each of them does best - making music. It was an honor to capture this moment in time with The Rocktronix, It truly was my Magnificent Obsession. - Robert Paul 2014
